The move to Jupiter, Florida with Robin, his wife of thirty years and a native of Cape Cod, proved to be a start to a lifelong and rewarding career in the construction business.
In 1981 he finished his engineering career on the sea and ventured out in a successful career building custom homes in the state of Florida. Working as an engineer for the next several years he shipped overseas to various countries around the world. He attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1978.
